Tomos and Lakshay Labs was started by two MBA-AI researchers who spent time inside real local businesses and saw the same pattern: most AI solutions are designed for companies with dedicated technical teams. Local businesses get left with either a chatbot wrapper or nothing.

Our point of view on AI for local business
Most AI products are built for companies with dedicated data engineering teams, cloud budgets, and months of integration runway. A local business with 10–50 employees doesn't have that, and shouldn't need it.
We started Tomos and Lakshay Labs because we kept seeing the same gap: businesses that would clearly benefit from automation, but whose only options were either a generic chatbot subscription or a six-figure enterprise contract. Neither fits.
Our approach is simpler: we come in, observe the actual work, and tell you honestly what can be improved — and how. Sometimes that means an AI system. Sometimes it means a straightforward automated process. Sometimes it means nothing yet.
